82 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice the number of gardaí assigned to the Bridewell district, Dublin 7; if there has been any increase in numbers in the past 12 months; and the plans, if any, she has to provide additional gardaí in the district during 1994.
I am informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of Garda manpower to individual areas, that the current strength at the Bridewell District is 165, an increase of 1 since 31 March 1993. The Garda authorities inform me that they have no immediate plans to increase the strength at the Bridewell, but the situation is kept under continuing review.
