The package of new child care service developments that I approved for the Eastern Health Board in 1993 included a new post of consultant psychiatrist as well as an additional post each of psychologist, psychiatric social worker and community psychiatric nurse for the health board's special hospital programme. The full year cost of this initiative is in the region of £140,000.
