Ceist:81 Mr. S. Kenny asked the Minister for Social Welfare if a person (details supplied) in Dublin 17 is due arrears for the period 1986 to 1992 arising from an EC equality directive.

In view of a number of proceedings which have been initiated and are pending before the courts relating to the implementation of the EC Directive on Equal Treatment, I am not in a position to make any comment on the issue raised by the Deputy on grounds of prejudice to the State's position in these proceedings.
