Vol. 442 No. 5

Written Answers. - Cattle Deaths.

Trevor Sargent

Ceist:

167 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if his attention has been drawn to the case of the deaths of cattle on the farm of a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and the action, if any, he proposes to take in view of the Teagasc report on this matter.

I am aware of the case. Officials from my Department have visited the farm in question and the herdowner has been in contact with the Department's regional veterinary laboratory a number of times. The facilities of my Department continue to be at the disposal of this herdowner and his veterinary surgeon to assist in finding a solution to the problem.
