Ceist:

173 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the plans, if any, he has to present the unique Muslim collection, formerly housed in the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin, to a suitable library in Sarajevo when peace is restored as a gesture of reconciliation and as a contribution to rebuilding the library.

Under the terms of the will of the late Sir Alfred Chester Beatty, the Chester Beatty Library was bequeathed upon trust to the Library Trustees to keep and maintain for the use and enjoyment of the public. Therefore I have no function in the matter raised by the Deputy.
