35 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the plans, if any, he has to facilitate the interested sectors of the organic movement in Ireland through providing comprehensive and credible criteria setting standards for inspection.
My Department implements the criteria for organic crop products and by products which are contained in EC Reg. 2092/91. I am satisfied that these criteria are comprehensive and credible. My Department is in regular contact with the various bodies representing the organic sector about matters of a mutual interest.
