Ceist:50 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the way in which milk prices in the first quarter of 1994 compared with those for the same period in each of the years 1991 to 1993.

The average milk price paid to producers in the first two months of 1994 — the latest period for which CSO data are available — was 102p per gallon. Comparable figures for the first two months of 1993, 1992 and 1991 are 94p, 89p and 86p respectively.
