Ceist:

55 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the total amount and value of intervention stocks held in the European Union and in Ireland; and the plans, if any, he has to dispose of these stocks.

Details of quanties and value of intervention stocks for all products concerned in the European Union are published annually in the EU Commission financial report, based on the EAGGF financial year which runs from October to September.

The most recent data available from Commission sources sets out the position as at 30 September 1993, as follows:
