90 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Finance in relation to the cost of keeping the Mullaghmore interpretative centre in abeyance, the way in which the cost breaks down in terms of legal costs, contractor fees, caretaker and other costs.

The cost to date of legal challenges and other delays which have kept the Burren National Park Visitor Centre in abeyance is £658,000 approximately. This is broken down as follows:

The ongoing weekly cost of securing and insuring the site is £3,544 pending the outcome of the legal challenge and the submission of the project through the planning process. This can be broken down as follows: Security — £2,700; Insurance — £843. Both of these figures include VAT.
