Ceist:136 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Health the number of rheumatism sufferers in each health board area.
I propose taking Questions Nos. 135 and 136 together.
The symptoms of both arthritis and rheumatism can range from mild to severe, therefore those suffering from these conditions may be treated in a variety of settings from general practitioner care to hospitalisation. For this reason and since neither condition is a notifiable disease, the information sought by the Deputy is not readily available to my Department.
