Ceist:158 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding Kilrush Community School in view of the fact that the parties who agreed this amalgamation are becoming impatient with the delays.
The design team for this project are in the process of completing a condition report on the former CBS buildings, which it is intended to develop as the new community school. On receipt of this report, which is expected to be submitted to the Department shortly, architectural planning of the project will be advanced as a matter of urgency. Senior Department officials are to meet with representatives of the Christian Brothers this week regarding the acquisition of the CBS school sites and the adjacent playing pitches.
