Vol. 444 No. 5

Written Answers. - Cork Unfinished Housing Estates.

Bernard Allen

Ceist:

62 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a financial allocation to Cork Corporation to fund the taking over of unfinished housing estates in Cork city because the bond submitted to Cork Corporation by the developers of Hawthorn Mews and Millfield Lawn, Dublin Hill, Cork, was never drawn down and the bonds for other unfinished housing estates were defective or inadequate to cover the costs involved of taking them over in view of the fact that residents in some of these estates have been waiting ten years to have their estates completed.

There are no funds available to me from which grants could be made for these purposes.
