Ceist:110 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the progress made to date in implementing the report of the Task Force on Services.
Written Answers. - Implementation of Task Force Recommendation.
The Small Business and Services Division which I have recently established in my Department, was set up to implement the recommendations in the reports of the task force on (i) services and (ii) small business and to co-ordinate policy in relation to these areas.
Arising from the report of the Task Force on Jobs in Services (paragraph 3 (I) 4) and the Programme for Competitiveness and Work (paragraph 1.63), all Departments and agencies were required to prepare a plan and also to nominate a person for the promotion of services in that Department-agency.
In this regard letters have been sent to all Departments, the Revenue Commissioners and the CSO, requesting details of their progress in these areas.
