Ceist:90 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Finance if his Department has received EU aid for technical assistance under the community support framework; and if so, the amount in the period 1989-1993.

The areas of expenditure for which the Department of Finance has responsibility for which EU aid for technical assistance was received in the period 1989-93 were the technical assistance programme under the Community Support Framework and the technical assistance measures under the INTERREG — cross-Border — community initiative programme. For the period 1989-93 IR£0.150 million was received under INTERREG and IR£2.07 million under the technical assistance programme. The aid under the technical assistance programme related in part to expenditure carried out by other Departments and agencies.
