Ceist:100 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Justice if a replacement Garda sergeant will be approved for a Garda station (details supplied) in County Wexford; and, if so, when.
Written Answers. - Appointment of Garda Sergeant.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that the sergeant at the station in question is due to retire on 16 July 1994. The question of providing a replacement is being considered by the Garda authorities at present.
I am also informed by the Garda authorities that the provisional crime figures for 1993 for the area in question show a substantial decrease as against 1992, and there are no indications that the crime level is increasing this year.
