Written Answers. - Mountmellick (Laois) Sewerage Scheme.
Contract documents for this scheme are under consideration in my Department.
The question of funding for this scheme, and for water and sewerage services projects generally, has been considered in the context of the resources available under the National Development Plan. The high level of existing commitments and the demands of schemes already prioritised for investment account for all finance available to the water services programme at present. It is not therefore possible to provide funding for this scheme at this stage. The position will however be regularly reviewed during the period of the National Development Plan.
