Ceist:330 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason the cards of a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary have not been returned; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [745/94]
Written Answers. - Retention of Herd Cards.
The herd referred to disclosed brucellosis reactors in April 1994 and is contiguous to a herd which was depopulated in March 1994. In addition this herd is situated in an area where six other herds have been depopulated for brucellosis.
While this herd has had a number of clear tests this year, it would not be advisable on veterinary grounds to lift the restriction until it has had a clear post calving test in 1995.
