Ceist:

335 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when suckler grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [816/94]

Ceist:

338 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when suckler grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [819/94]

The person named was paid an advance of his 1993 suckler cow premium in December 1993 and arrangements have now been made to pay the balance due very shortly. Problems in validating his 1993 area aid application which led to this delay in paying his balance have now been sorted out.

Theresa Ahearn

Ceist:

339 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when extensification premium payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [848/94]

The person named completed his 1993 area aid application form incorrectly. The error has now been corrected and he will be paid his extensification premium shortly.

Charles Flanagan

Ceist:

340 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if it is a condition of forestry grants aided by his Department on the issue of grant cheques that adequate title be shown by the applicant in respect of lands to be planted; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [877/94]

Under the current afforestation scheme an applicant for a planting grant must either own the land or have the owner's written permission to afforest the land and to apply for a grant on his/her own behalf.

In the event of a dispute arising regarding ownership or rights on the land an applicant will be required to furnish proof of ownership and no grant will be paid until the Department is satisfied on the matter.
