402 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in the processing of an application for disabled persons maintenance allowance in respect of a person (details supplied) in Cork. [221/94]

Payment of disabled person's maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, Southern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.

403 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on the reason persons (details supplied) in Cork have not received the annual increase in the disabled person's maintenance allowance of £59.20 each; his views on statements made by the Southern Health Board that in view of the fact that both of them are in receipt of disabled person's maintenance allowance, they are not entitled to the annual increases; and if he will reverse this decision.
