459 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education the detailed terms and conditions under which her Department received technical assistance amounting to £0.1574m; if she will give details of each project for which it was used; if a copy of the study or studies carried out was supplied to the European Commission; if a copy is available for inspection by members of the public; and, if not, the reason therefor. The technical assistance aid of £0.1574 million received from the EU under the 1990-93 Operational Programme for Vocational Training Infrastructure was used to fund two projects: (a) the provision of information technology hardware and software for use by the Planning and Building Unit of the Department and the Higher Education Authority to assist in the implementation and monitoring of the capital measures included in the Operational Programme; (b) a survey and evaluation of computer resources in the regional technical college-DIT sector. The report when completed will be forwarded to the EU; a copy will be available in due course for inspection by members of the public.
