501 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if she will extend recognition for grant purposes to the European Diploma in Environment Management in the National Conservancy Centre; if not, the reason therefor; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [727/94]

My Department has received an application from the institution involved to have the diploma course in question approved for third level student grants. This application is currently being assessed by my Department and I will keep the Deputy informed of developments.
