193 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Defence the present position of the Naval College to be established at Ringaskiddy, County Cork; if the land has been acquired; if so, when tenders will be sought; and when the College will receive its first batch of trainees. [1087/94]
Ten acres of reclaimed foreshore at Ringaskiddy, County Cork, have been acquired by the Department. The Department is presently consulting with other Government Departments on the question of the provision of additional training facilities for the Naval Service on this site. Planning for the provision of the additional training facilities will be undertaken as funding permits.
