I propose to take Questions Nos. 39, 83, 102, 134, 137 and 233 together.
I am pleased to advise the Deputies that an end to the public health doctors dispute is in sight. Negotiations with the Irish Medical Organisation on revised arrangements for the provision of public health medicine and community care medical services by health boards reached a conclusion last week. Arising from these negotiations, a draft agreement was approved by the Public Health Committee of the IMO on 6 October and is currently the subject of ballot.
Those doctors who have been involved in the dispute resumed their usual duties on 10 October, pending completion of the ballot in the next week or so.
