56 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Health the number of persons currently in need of residential geriatric care throughout the country; the number of such places available at present; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [990/94]

This information is not routinely collected by my Department. I have asked the eight health boards to provide the information needed to answer this question. I will write to the Deputy when it becomes available.
