132 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Justice the plans, if any, she has to improve conditions in the Circuit Court which have been described by one Circuit Court judge as Dickensian. [3213/94]
Extensive work was carried out in the Four Courts complex by the Office of Public Works during the summer vacation. This included the conversion of the heating system from solid fuel to gas. With such a major undertaking it was anticipated that there would be some teething problems with its operation. It was during the initial trial period that the comment referred to was made. I am assured by the Office of Public Works that the system is now fully operational and functioning properly.
