Tyrone House, in which my office is located, was built about 1740. It is a listed building and is recognised as one of the most important buildings in the city from a historic, architectural and aesthetic perspective. Tyrone House had structural defects and was in a poor decorative condition. During the period of the last Government the Office of Public Works planned, co-ordinated and met the costs of a refurbishment programme to restore it to the style of the relevant period.
