It is the Government's policy to treat both women and men participating in all areas of the arts on an equal basis. All programmes supported or promoted by either my Department or An Comhairle Ealaíon are open to participation on an equal basis. It is also the policy of An Chomhairle Ealaíon to ensure that, as far as possible, appointments of artists made to boards or adjudication panels have a gender balance.
