Ceist:74 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for the Environment when his Department will issue approval to Clare County Council to commence major improvement works to Lisdoonvarna water supply. [4750/95]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 73 and 74 together.
The Lisdoonvarna water supply scheme, at an estimated cost of some £6 million, is one of the projects included in the Burren and north Clare water services plan which has been submitted to the EU Commission for financing under the Cohesion Fund. Progress on the individual schemes will be subject to the Commission decision on the application which is expected later this year.
