85 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education the provision made in the 1995 budget for the major sports capital programme and the recreational facilities scheme; and if these allocations will allow new projects to be announced in 1995. [4989/95]
The 1995 allocations for the major sports capital programme and for the recreational facilities scheme is £4 million and £2 million respectively. These allocations will be fully expended on existing projects under both schemes where grants were allocated in 1994 and in previous years and where claims for payment will arise in 1995. The question of funding for new projects in 1995 is under consideration.
