Limerick East): Under section 8 of the Health (Family Planning) (Amendment) Act, 1992 and article 2 of the Health (Family Planning) Regulations, 1992 health boards are responsible for the provision of a comprehensive family planning service. Guidelines were issued to the health boards on 22 March on the development of comprehensive family planning services in their areas.
Health boards are required to report to the Department of Health, not later than 31 May 1995, the specific measures which will be implemented to comply with the guidelines.
