Vol. 451 No. 7

Written Answers. - Refurbishment of Health Centres.

Brendan Kenneally

Ceist:

75 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for Health if a specific grant is made available to the South-Eastern Health Board each year towards the refurbishment of local health centres; if so, the amount which has been made available in total in 1995; the amount which has been earmarked for refurbishment works at Ballyduff Upper Health Centre, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7139/95]

Limerick East): Special funding was made available to health boards in 1994 for the refurbishment of health centres and a sum of £2 million is being allocated this year. I will be notifying each health board shortly of the amount available to it in 1995 for this purpose. It will be a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board to decide on a priority basis on how it will allocate its funding.
