Vol. 452 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Limerick School Bus Service.

Michael Finucane

Ceist:

132 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Education if a school bus service (details supplied) in County Limerick will be continued in view of uncertainty among parents; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [8083/95]

The continuation of the service in question is currently under review by my Department.

Under the terms of the school transport scheme, ten eligible pupils are required to warrant its continuance. I understand that there were only three eligible pupils availing of transport on this service last term.

The school authorities will be notified of the outcome of the review before the end of the current school year.
