145 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if a person (details supplied) who was sexually assaulted by prisoners in prison last week is receiving counselling and all other appropriate care; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [8119/95]
It is not normal practice to comment on individual cases and I do not propose, therefore, to comment in detail on the circumstances of this particular case other than to say that the person referred to in the question has, in common with other offenders access to a range of medical, psychiatric, psychological and welfare services in prison. The incident referred to is presently the subject of a Garda investigation and an internal inquiry.
