Vol. 452 No. 3

Written Answers. - Family Income Support.

Dermot Ahern

Ceist:

94 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment the policy, if any, he has regarding family income support being taken into account in differential rent schemes run by local authorities; and if he will make a statement on the matter, enumerating the local authorities which regard family income support as income under the differential rent scheme. [7848/95]

The determination of the rents of their dwellings, and decisions as to the types of income to be taken into account in the assessment of the rents, are an integral part of the housing management responsibilities of local authorities.
