88 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when his Department's inspector will call to examine the stock and fencing of a person (details supplied) in County Laois in respect of his application for grant assistance under the alternative enterprise system; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The staffing situation at Portlaoise is the subject of continuous and ongoing review by my Department's management to ensure that, within the resources available, the best possible service is provided and, in particular, that applications are processed and grants paid with the minimum of delay. The application in this case will be processed as soon as possible.
