44 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for the Environment if he will agree to meet a deputation from Cavan County Council as requested by the council; if this meeting will be arranged for an early date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11111/95]

As road grants have been fully allocated for 1995, except for a small reserve for bridge strengthening work, no useful purpose would be served by meeting with a deputation to discuss the allocations. Cavan County Council were advised of this on 28 April last.
