Vol. 455 No. 1
75 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform when Ireland will become a signatory of the UN Convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination. [11895/95]
Ireland has signed but has not ratified the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
Legislation is being prepared which will outlaw discrimination on a wide range of grounds, covering both employment and non-employment areas.
It is envisaged that this legislation will facilitate our ratification of the Convention.
