164 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the international treaties and conventions he intends to sign; the number that have been signed; the number that have been signed but not ratified; the number signed which have been ratified but have not been put into force; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The signature by Ireland of the Food Aid Convention 1995 is at present before the Government for consideration. Since the Government assumed office, Ireland has ratified and put into effect the International Coffee Agreement 1994; no other treaty or convention within my Department's area of responsibility has been signed or put into force in that period.
