81 Mr. Kirk asked the Taoiseach the estimated numbers employed at processing and marketing level in the beef, sheepmeat and pigmeat sectors for each of the years 1980, 1985, 1990 and 1994. [11950/95]

Estimates for the number of persons engaged in the slaughtering and preserving of meat sector are available from the Quarterly Industrial Inquiry, which covers establishments with 3 or more persons engaged. The available estimates (in thousands) for the years in question are as follows
