Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Sargent — the closure of Coláiste Móibhí; and the need to ensure that members of the Church of Ireland can avail of schooling through the medium of Irish in order to maintain the high standards of teaching of Irish in Church of Ireland schools; (2) Deputy Leonard — the serious effect of the present currency fluctuations on indigenous exports to Great Britain; (3) Deputy Power — the non-availability of coroners to carry out post-mortems at weekends and the unnecessary suffering and hardship this causes to families; (4) Deputy Brendan Smith — the need to provide additional accommodation at Cavan Vocational School; (5) Deputy Quill — the need to clarify the proposed purchase of Our Lady's Hospital, Cork, from the Southern Health Board; (6) Deputy Geoghegan-Quinn — the serious implications for private and public psychiatric services of the regulations to be made pursuant to the Health (Insurance) Act, 1994.

The matters raised by Deputies Geoghegan-Quinn, Sargent, Brendan Smith and Power have been selected for discussion.
