Vol. 457 No. 1

Written Answers. - Closure of Schools.

Kathleen Lynch

Ceist:

130 Kathleen Lynch asked the Minister for Education the names of the schools at primary and post-primary level that have been closed in each of the years from 1993 and to date in 1995; the schools among these that have now been sold; and the total return to the Exchequer from the proceeds of such sales. [14887/95]

I take it that the Deputy's question relates to school buildings which may have become available, in the period 1993 to 1995, for disposal as a result of school closures. I propose to circulate a list of the schools in question in the Official Report.

Precise details regarding the disposal of the schools on the list, none of which is owned by the Minister for Education, are not readily available at present. My Department will write to the Deputy in the matter as soon as possible.
