181 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of citizens of other EU states that have been paid forestry premia for each year since 1990; the number of those who are non-resident; and the number from each member state. [15071/95]
Non-farmers and investors who are non-nationals and who own or lease land in Ireland which has been afforested since August 1992 are eligible for premia under the CAP forest premium scheme. My Department does not record the nationality of applicants for forestry grants and premiums. However, two applicants were paid premia in 1994 with addresses in England.
