190 Mr. M. Ahern asked the Minister for Defence if all unestablished pension increases have been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork since the date of his retirement; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15064/95]

The person referred to was formerly employed as a civilian storeman with the Permanent Defence Force. He retired in August 1986 on health grounds. The standard rounds of the Programme for Competitiveness and Work, as applicable in the Public Sector, are relevant to this particular case as shown below:

All other unestablished pension increases have been paid to the person referred to since the date of his retirement.
These rates have been notified to the Office of the Paymaster General. Payment of the above revised rates of pension (including any arrears due) will be made by that Office to the person referred to as soon as possible.
The person referred to would also be in receipt of the appropriate rate of contributory old age pension from the Department of Social Welfare.
