Vol. 457 No. 6

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given to me under Standing Order 20 (3) (A) and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Seán Ryan—the proposals, if any, currently under examination for a second commerical airport at Baldonnel, County Dublin; (2) Deputy McCreevy—the reason the direct debit instalment method governing the payment of preliminary tax is not available in respect of the 1995-96 tax year; (3) Deputy Broughan—the provision of youth services and facilities in the Belcamp parish in Darndale, Dublin 17 and the Foxfield Parish in Kilbarrack, Dublin 13; (4) Deputy Tom Kitt—the initiative that will be introduced to tackle long-term unemployment following the publication of the labour force survey by the CSO; (5) Deputy Moffatt — the need to ensure the retention of Beleek Wood, Ballina as a public amenity solely for tourist and recreational purposes; (6) Deputy Kenneally—the need for additional accommodation at St. Declan's Community College, Kilmacthomas, County Waterford and (7) Deputy Eric Byrne—the need to ensure that the ban on importation, sale and possession of fireworks is fully implemented.

I have selected for discussion the matters raised by Deputies McCreevy, Kenneally, Tom Kit and Moffatt.
