Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Broughan — the provision of youth services and facilities in the Belcamp parish in Darndale, Dublin 17, and the Foxfield parish in Kilbarrack, Dublin 13; (2) Deputy Seán Ryan — the proposals, if any, currently under examination for a second commercial airport at Baldonnel, County Dublin; (3) Deputy O'Dea — the need to take immediate steps to ensure more accountability and transparency in the office of the DPP; (4) Deputy Crawford — the reason 27 per cent of the land in County Monaghan, in particular areas such as Aghabog, was not submitted for reclassification as severely handicapped; (5) Deputy McDaid — the current situation regarding Milford Vocational School, County Donegal; (6) Deputy Quill — the steps to be taken in the next few days to secure a viable future for Irish Steel; (7) Deputy Ó Cuív — the need to address the delay of over years for people on the out-patient waiting list for assessment for orthopaedic procedures; (8) Deputy Tom Kitt — the further action being taken to ensure the future of Irish Steel; (9) Deputy Eric Byrne — the need for Ireland to press at EU level and in other international fora for the imposition of an arms embargo and other appropriate measures against Nigeria following the sentencing to death of a writer and nine other individuals and in view of the rapidly deteriorating human rights situation in Nigeria; (10) Deputy Lynch — the need to ensure that all post-secondary places of education are made fully accessible to people with a disability, in particular Limerick Senior College, in light of the refusal to accede to requests for the installation of a stairlift; (11) Deputy Gallagher (Laoighis-Offaly)— the serious situation arising from nurses' decision to take industrial action in hospitals in the Midland Health Board region; (12) Deputy Leonard — the need to set up an appeals structure to examine the serious anomalies arising from the reclassification of only 73.1 per cent of County Monaghan as more severely handicapped; (13) Deputy Flanagan — the need to publish appropriate statistics for the criminal justice system and to establish a method of making them available to interested parties; (14) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the need for funding for an obstetrics unit on the grounds of University Hospital, Cork.

The matters raised by Deputies Batt O'Keeffe, O'Dea, Flanagan and Leonard have been selected for discussion.
