Ceist:

41 Mr. Andrews asked the Minister for Education the number of male and female graduates from the colleges of education in each of the years from 1990 to 1995; the number of male and female students who applied in each of these years; and the number who entered the colleges for their first year in each of these years. [16091/95]

The information requested by the Deputy in regard to the number who (a) entered and (b) graduated from the colleges of education for primary teachers is set out in the following table.

Information regarding the number of male and female students who applied for admission to these colleges in 1990 is also included in the table. The information for the years after 1990 is not available in my Department's records.
