I propose to take Questions Nos. 56 and 122 together.
In May of this year I advised the House of a range of proposed developments aimed at improving current provision in the young offenders area. Apart from the measures planned for the Oberstown site, my proposals envisaged the development of an additional eight to ten places for young male offenders at the site of the Finglas Children's Centre.
I fully recognise the valid interest of local residents in any developments proposed for the Obertstown campus. This interest is already recognised in the fact that the local community council is represented on the boards of management of the three centres located on the campus. It would be my intention that the local community council be kept fully informed of all new developments.
