James McDaid

Ceist:

136 Dr. McDaid asked the Minister for Education if she will sanction the commencement of work in Milford Vocational School, County Donegal; the current attitude to this project within her Department; and the reason for the delay in starting this project. [15993/95]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 60 and 136 together.

It has been decided to provide a new vocational school at Milford, County Donegal to replace the existing school. My Department's technical advisers are currently examining a revised joint stages I and II planning submission in respect of the Milford vocational school project. These stages relate to site suitability and outline sketch plans. My Department will be in touch with the County Donegal vocational education committee in the matter as soon as possible.
The question of commencement of work does not arise until all stages of the planning process have been satisfactorily completed.
