63 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Education if she will include representatives of the Federation of Transport Operators on the school transport system review group; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16366/95]
I recognise fully the role of the Federation of Transport Operators, FOTO, in the operation of the school transport scheme. Accordingly, FOTO, along with other interested parties, will be given every opportunity, as part of the consultative process, to put forward its views to the review group on school transport. I have no plans, however, to include a representative of FOTO on the review committee.
My Department will give public notice in due course, setting out the terms of reference of the review group, and inviting submissions.
