68 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the inspection, if any, that was carried out by Department officials to determine whether certain animals have been included in error as milking cows in a TB test report in relation to an application by a person (details supplied) in County Cork for the higher rate of reactor compensation for dairy cows; and if he has satisfied himself that his Department has made the correct decision in this case. The Department operates a general rule that the original classification of animals as certified by the veterinary surgeon on the test report cannot be amended at a later stage. I regret that it is not, for practical reasons, possible to deviate from that rule.
